Business Administration Apprentice

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidate to undertake a business administration apprenticeship with well know company, CourierForce.

The Apprentice’s Role

As previously mentioned this is a very demanding, yet incredibly rewarding role. The apprentice’s duties and responsibilities will include taking inbound and making outbound telephone calls, preparing, issuing and managing quotations and liaising with courier staff.

The successful candidate will be allocating bookings and dealing with general administration duties such as preparing correspondence, data entry and filing. The role also involves working closely with the Administration Manager assisting with the day-to-day operational running of the bookings desk. As the apprentices confidence and ability increases, their role will include additional responsibilities and duties.

A full clean driving license is preferred.

Working Hours: You will be working 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required when and if you attend off-site projects.

Wages: £150.00 per week, based on a 40 hour week. Any hours worked above 40 hours per week will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage, depending on age.

Holiday: You will be entitled to 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

Skills Required

The demands and requirements of the role will require you to have a number of professional skills and abilities, which includes excellent attention to detail, good verbal and written communication skills and knowledge and confidence in using a variety of IT applications and platforms.

In addition, you will have an excellent telephone manner, the ability to multi-task and work as an effective member of a small, dedicated and extremely professional team.

Prior Qualifications

GCSE grades A – C in Maths, English, ICT and a Science subject is desired.

The Apprenticeship in Business Administration consists of:

  • Level 2 Diploma in Business Administration
  • Level 2 NVQ in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
  • Health and Safety Certificate
  • Emergency First Aid

Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on-site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
