Sales Administration Apprentice

RSD Recruitment is on the lookout for a sales administration apprentice who can help support the daily demands of the recruitment business.

The Apprentice’s Role

The successful apprentice will be searching and sourcing candidates via internet job boards, dealing with the in-house database and Linkedin. You will also be advertising on internet job boards and dealing with candidate referrals. Part of your role will also involved candidate management, which will involve CV checking, telephone screening candidates, interview confirmations and interview feedback.

Along with this, you will be involved in general administration, opening the post, answering telephone calls and photocopying documents. You will keep accurate records, maintain and order stationery and develop new systems where necessary to ensure appropriate records.

Working Hours: You will be working Monday to Friday, 9am – 5pm

Wages: £140.00 per week, plus bonuses. Any additional hours worked above the 40 hours per week will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage rate, depending on age.

Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement, including bank holidays, will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

Past Apprentices

This is the first time RSD Recruitment have invested in the apprenticeship programme.

The potential to complete your level 2 business administration qualification, with a view to either do a second qualification in customer services or progress immediately on to the level 3 in business administration.

Skills Required

The successful candidate will have an interest in recruitment, excellent organisational skills and a positive and optimistic attitude. You will be self-motivated and willing to learn and adaptable and flexiblle to meet the demands of the business.

Personal Qualities

The ideal candidate will be flexible, friendly and willing to learn. You will be self motivated, enthusiastic, driven and conscientious.

In addition, you will have meticulous attention to detail, the ability to use initiative, a professional telephone manner and smart appearance.

Prior Qualifications

GCSE C or above in Maths and English and ICT would be preferred.

The Apprenticeship in Business Administration consists of:

  • Level 2 NVQ Diploma in Business Administration
  • Functional Skills in Maths, English and ICT
  • Health and Safety Certificate
  • Emergency First Aid

Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on-site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
