This vacancy is based in Prince Rock. Ventro are looking to take on a Sales Assistant to join their busy team in Plymouth.
The Apprentice’s Role
The successful applicant will be working closely and effectively with the sales team, completing all quotes within timescales, supporting consultants on the road providing them with all office support that they require, increasing customer satisfaction by fast response and welcoming customers to the company.
You will be trained on how to do all of the above and the following as these are roles that you will be progressing on to taking on.
You will be participating in the weekly sales meetings with ideas and problem solving in order to report to Sales and Marketing on a weekly basis through weekly reports and review on estimation lead times in the meetings. You will be carrying out basic administration tasks such as answering and forwarding calls on to the appropriate person. Within your duties you will be required to carry out research, data and other required tasks when necessary.
Working Hours: You will be working 8am to 5pm, Monday to Friday, some flexibility will be required when and if you attend off-site projects.
Wages: £170.00 per week. Any hours worked above 40 hours per week will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage, depending on age.
Holiday: You will be entitled to 28 days holiday, including bank holidays, will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

The role is progressive and the successful candidate will quickly be able to take on more responsibility and progress within the company. The company's intention is that the candidate will progress to a career in project management once the apprenticeship is complete.

You will need to be able to deal with internal and external enquiries, have accuracy of quotations and schedules, you will need to be confident on the phone as you will be speaking to a number of different people, you will need to be polite to increase customer satisfaction and act professional at all times.
You will be of a mature nature and have the genuine desire to succeed. You will be conscientious, kind and considerate to others and be empathetic when dealing with people. You have a strong work ethic and be able to work independently as well as being an effective team member.
GCSE pass grades (A – C) in both Maths and English. ICT would also be an advantage.

Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on-site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.
You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
