The Apprentice’ Role
ARJ CRE8 is looking to take on a Spraying Apprentice to work in the busy work shop on Valley Road, Plympton. The successful candidate will learn how to mix paint and apply correctly as well as preparing items for painting. The successful candidate will be learning from an employee who has over 15 years experience in the industry and will learn hands on skills needed to qualify as a Sprayer.
Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 4.30pm. This may vary slightly depending on workload.
Wages: £140.00 per week, based on a 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week, will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.
Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.
Andy and Jason have over 40 years experience between them in bench carpentry. They both worked for the same company for a number of years before deciding to set up a business of their own.
They are specialists in Bench Carpentry and thoroughly enjoy what they do and are very keen to pass on their knowledge.
Andy and Jason have supported an apprentice before with Skills Group, so they are keen to invest their time and knowledge to support the right candidate to progress through the apprenticeship programme.
After you have completed the Level 2 qualification, there will be the opportunity to progress on to full-time employment with the employer. This will be a long term role for the right person.
The successful apprentice will be reliable, punctual and willing to learn and succeed in this career. You will be hardworking with good hand skills and concentration and have an eye for detail.
ARJ CRE8 are looking for a reliable, friendly, punctual and enthusiastic apprentice to take on with a good sense of humor but also a strong work ethic.
English and Mathematics at a Grade C or above would be an advantage, however not essential.
The Level 2 Apprenticeship in Performing Manufacturing Operations consists of:
Attendance will be required at our training centre for one day a week. All other aspects of the qualification will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor who will monitor your progress during your training.
Whilst at the Skills Group training centre, you will learn the necessary skills and gain experience to help you throughout your role. Part of your training will be knowledge and theory based, whilst the rest will be practical.
