Jask Property Ltd are looking for an apprentice who will work as a member of their team to complete all aspects of construction.
The Apprentice’s Role
The successful apprentice will learn a variety of construction trades and be involved in a range of different tasks. To give you an idea of the type of work you will be carrying out, Jask Property Ltd have recently been fitting new kitchens and are currently working on some house extensions.
Some of the work the services they provide includes building works, roofing, fascias and guttering, plastering, conservatories and many more.
Whilst on site you will be expected to use a variety of equipment safely, once taught how. To shadow members of the team whilst they undertake their work and to learn from them before picking up the tools yourself and using your hand skills.
Working Hours: You will be required to work 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hours may very depending on workload
Wages: £140.00 per week, based on a 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week, will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.
Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement, including bank holidays, will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

After completing a level 2 in site carpentry there maybe an opportunity to progress onto an advanced level 3 qualification.
As with all construction roles you will be expected to interact with the clients so great communication skills is required. You will have the ability to use your own initiative and be able to work well as part of a team.
Jask Property Ltd are looking to take on an apprentice who is positive, motivated and hardworking. The team are close knit and like to enjoy themselves while they work, so they are looking for someone with a sense of humour who at the same time is aware of how important their work is and is keen to get the job done well.
GCSE grades A-E is desired but not essential.

Whilst at our training centre you will learn the skills and gain experience that will help you throughout your role. Part of your training will be knowledge and theory based, whilst the remainder will be practical.
As part of attending Skills Group for your apprenticeship we will also arrange for you to work towards achieving your CSCS on-line test giving you the opportunity to apply for your CSCS Card. This confirms that individuals working in the building environment have the necessary competence, to carry out site work with the employer.
In addition to your training, Skills Group will give you the opportunity to achieve your Emergency First Aid and Health and Safety certificates, along with Internet Safety and Safeguarding.
