Kyler Hunt, Lang and Potter

I never really liked school – I misbehaved and got kicked out before GCSEs. I joined Jump Start and then tried a plumbing course but didn’t like that either.

I was working for a golf club and met someone who was a floorer. It sounded like something I thought I could do. So I had a look on the National Apprenticeship Service website and applied for a couple of vacancies, including this one at Lang and Potter.

I’ve been with Lang and Potter for 18 months now and completed my Intermediate Apprenticeship (level 2). I’m really enjoying working here – I get out to lots of different places and have meet lots of people.

Apprenticeships are the best route – you’re working and you get paid for it, it’s practical and I’m not stuck in a classroom. I’m hoping that one day I’ll have my own Lang and Potter van.
