Georgia Burkatt, Teaching & Education Apprentice

When leaving school, Georgia Burkatt wanted to work with children. She contacted Skills Group and was quickly put in touch with Plymouth School of Creative Arts. From there Georgia was successful in getting onto her Level 2 Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools apprenticeship.

After my first week here, I knew that it was what I wanted to do, and that I wanted to carry on being an apprentice.

It’s not as formal as being stuck in a classroom being told “do this, do that”.

The apprenticeship has really helped me along with my career, as it’s lead me onto the path of a degree to become a primary school teacher!
